Project CHUD started as a side project and still is of all members of streetpunk band the atomics plus Kevin Smart of bands such as ASKF and Our Last Days As Children. Me and Kev were talking about doing some kind of horror themed punk rock band in the vain of the misfits or 45 grave and that was the plan until our first rehearsal, we all got there with no songs wrote prior to getting to the jam space. It pretty much just came together with Kev having some left over lyrics from old Sub City Flies stuff that never got used and a couple guitar chords I threw together on the spot. We had 4 songs at the end of the practice, one we borrowed from the atomics called television and we ripped the fuck out of it. The other 3 were Bite it you scum (gg allin cover), Claustrophobia and War. We’ve been getting a pretty good response from both the hardcore kids and the punk kids mainly because I think we fused the style well. Some stuff is really strait forward crust punk the others are just pure insanity. Because we’re a new band we don’t have much of a bio. We’ve probably played less then ten shows.
